QualComm Stadium

Home to the San Diego Padres prior to the opening of their new ball park in 2004. Very easy freeway access, cheap parking and tickets behind the visitor dugout for only $24.00. QualComm is a dual-use stadium (can you say San Diego Chargaaahs?). The structure is too bowl-shaped to be a baseball park. The high seating all around blocks any air movement and makes for a hot spot on a sunny day (which we had). The San Diego Super Dogs took second place in the West Coast Dog Show trailing Dodger Dogs by a nose. Unfortunately, after devouring my Super Dogs I found the Randy Jones BBQ Pit. For $4.50, the Rambler could have had a BBQ Hot Dog, 10 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. A pretty impressive bowwow!!

The Rambler and the V.O. on an extremely warm California afternoon

Jeff Bagwell singles in a run. Why cant we get guys like that???

The V.O. cannot stay away from Section 32, even in San Diego

Lots of empty seats just prior to game time as the Rambler enjoys the California sunshine & dreams about an ice cold Sam Adams!
