Edison Field

Home of the 2002 World Champion Angels, Edison is a fine place to watch a ball game. Easy freeway access and egress, cheap parking ($7.00 when we visited) and great seats for only $16.00 (box seats along the first base line). Edison was owned by Disney at the time and fans were treated like guests, just as you would expect. Angel fans arrive late and leave early, sitting on there hands most of the time. The 2002 season saw the arrival of those annoying Thunder Sticks. The Weinerschnitzel Dogs served at Edison, long, thin hot dogs, just do not make it. There is something un-American about stuffing a dog into a foil bag and letting it sit around before it gets sold. A far cry from a Fenway Frank.

A beautiful, sunny, California afternoon. Too bad it was the Angels vs the K.C. Royals....yawn!!

Rambler Jr., aka Chowdah, and Leno, aka El Guapo, enjoy the game from  left field. How many Bostonians can claim to know a real-life Royals’ fan????
